You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Gun Bay Technician will report to the gun bay supervisor and be an experienced and skilled armament technician undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities in the aircraft gun bay, demonstrating the ability to derive diagnostic techniques, and will be responsible for maintaining the Typhoon Mauser gun.
Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection activities on the Mauser gun components. Assuring work carried out has been completed in accordance with the work package using the relevant approved technical information. Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including an awareness of configuration management
Undertaking and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on the Mauser gun components which may include, as appropriate, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test
Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately
Maintaining personal & teams task authorisation for working on the Mauser gun and components in accordance with QAF regulations
Maintaining a personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency, on completion of On the Job training (OJT) activities
Progress reporting against delivery targets to supervisor
Undertaking support tasks within the gun bay facility which are required to maintain compliance with the MOE and QAF procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling/test equipment)
HNC or equivalent experience
Requires broad and in-depth product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area
Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application
Ensure personal compliance with the risk assessments, SHE policies and procedures
Full Time
