Our Client, an Estate Surveyor and Valuer firm is looking to hire the service of an Accountant who will be responsible for the financial bookkeeping and records of the organisation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes:
- Executing the daily operations of the accounting department including, but not limited to:general ledger, taxes, month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliation, financial assets, account statement reconciliation etc.
- Participating in the preparation and maintenance of accurate and complete financial records and statements, participating in audits and reconciliation and providing information for the annual external audit as needed.
- Assist in preparing budget and financial forecasts
- Computing taxes and preparing tax returns
- Tracking organisation expenses and managing income and expenditure accounts
- Managing the company s accounts payable and receivable
- Keeping informed about the latest developments in the accounting and finance industry.
Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to

- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- knowledge of basic accounting procedures and regulations
- A minimum of 3 years work experience as an accountant
- A background in auditing is desirable
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skill with high level of efficiency and accuracy
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyse large amounts of data
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting software
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to details
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Additional certification (such as ICAN) is a plus
