Manage the implementation of accounting policies, procedures and systems.
Identify and manage the implementation of procedural changes designed to improve internal controls, departmental efficiency and/or report quality.
Manage the General Ledger, including timely and accurate monthly closings, the review of account balances and the reconciliation of accounts.
Process transactions related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, depreciation and amortization, and maintain records related to those.
Manage the development, documentation and delivery of financial training to the organization.
Manage the development and maintenance of standard and ad hoc financial reports.
Assist in the development of proposals.
Provide financial oversight to the business and drive compliance with organization s financial policies.
Manage the annual external audit, acting as primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring all necessary reconciliation prepared upon arrival of the auditors, and providing needed schedules and documents for audit and tax return purposes.
Manage filing with and reporting to governmental agencies with regard to staff and consultants,
Provide direction during the annual financial budgeting process, managing the development of automated, accurate data gathering, analysis and presentation.
Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of financial systems (i.e. ERP, Budgeting, online reporting, payroll, etc.) that are critical to the daily operation of the organization.
Assist the Executive Management Team in achieving budgeted financial results through reporting, forecasting, management of the balance sheet including cash management
Provide the Executive Management Team periodic comparative operating results vs. budget, as well as current balance sheets.
Handle payment of staff benefits, and payroll
Participate in developing strategic and tactical plans for the organization.
Serve as the staff liaison with the Finance-Audit Committee.
Managing company assets and financial expenditures.
Preparing financial documents such as invoices, tax filings, and monthly profit reports.
Maintaining files on account receivables and updating records as required.
Managing the flow of petty cash by recording all monetary transactions.
Ensuring that suppliers are informed of any changes to service agreements and payment options.
Updating management on any financial discrepancies found during tax filing or invoicing duties.
Archiving financial documentation and updating accounting databases on a monthly or annual basis.
Adhering to best practices in accounting, as outlined by industry experts and espoused by the company.
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Must be a Chartered Accountant
Experience in communicating with senior stakeholders
Advanced computer software skills, including Excel macros and other accounting packages
Proficiency in data, financial, and strategy analysis
Must have a minimum of 5 years cogent experience in Manufacturing/ FCMG
