Content Writer - US Sports

This is a remote position.

Sportskeeda is actively looking for contractual Content Writers who are well-versed in US Sports (NFL/NBA/MLB) and can research and curate quality articles for our vast array of readers.

Responsibilities

• Developing new static pages as part of the sport's content plan, strategy, and evolving requirements - For NBA/NFL/MLB
  

• Reviewing content for factual accuracy and general accuracy of grammar and context; ensuring that content is written as per Sportskeeda s guidelines & checking spellings, grammar & scope of the text with the editorial team
  

• Writing, proof-reading, and fact-checking content as the main POCs for Sportskeeda Basketball s very own Static Content Team
  

• Helping in the maintenance of existing static pages (top players, their partners, their net worth, their contracts, team pages, General Managers, etc.)
  

• Supporting the content team from a strategy perspective as well - sharing new ideas, content styles, topics, etc.
  

• Working with the SEO team & Content team to improve content writing processes, improve the quality of content on the site, etc.
  

Requirements

• Candidates with good knowledge of NBA/NFL/MLB would be preferred; it just helps if you re a student of the game on and off the court
  

• It also helps if you understand the basics of business across sports like contracts, waivers, extensions, and other similar terminology
  

• Staying updated with recent developments in and around the games - including projected top picks, top teams, March Madness, etc.
  

• Excellent command over the English language (US) is a must.
  

• Should have a knack for crisp sentence composition, grammar, and syntax.
  

• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
  

• A good sense of humor, and ability to get along with people across the globe (especially when those people have different backgrounds, ethnicities, and working styles)
  

• Availability for mostly 5, but sometimes 6 days per week (we re flexible, rest assured)
