30 HOURS (PART TIME) Payroll Administrator role - Hybrid working

Were recruiting for a large employer who are seeking aPayroll Administratorto join their growing team. This role ishybrid(split between office for a couple of days and home working), and is a full-time, permanent role working30hoursper week, ideally across 5 days however were happy to discuss 4 days.The salary is circa 25,000 per annum pro rata plus 25 days holiday pro rata, pension, healthcare plus much more.

Overview of role

  • Ensuringthat your assigned payroll payments are accurate and ensuring that staff are correctly paid their salaries and expenses on time while ensuring compliance to statutory legislation and Group policies and procedures.
  • Payroll production of monthly and weekly Payrolls using the Midland HR iTrent system
  • Compliance with the Group s Policies: specifically, the Payroll Policy & Procedures Guide, Group Expenditure & Approval Guide, Travel & Expense Policy
  • Pensions Automatic Enrolment
  • HMRC RTI processes
  • Processing absences including SSP, SAP, SMP Employee enquiries
  • Effective liaison with HR Administrators, Line Managers, Regional Finance, internal third-party Benefits Administrators (Pensions GAYE, Payroll Giving, Cycle to Work), external third-party benefits providers and HMRC
  • Answering pay and related queries from staff, HMRC and other relevant bodies by phone, email and letters
  • Providing back up and as when necessary for other members of the payroll team
  • Assist in the reporting of other HMRC statutory returns; P11D, P9D, PSA
  • To work as part of a large team, processing a specified number of payrolls on a monthly or weekly basis
  • To comply with Company and Statutory legislation
  • To support the sites by providing an accurate and timely payroll service
  • Providing advice and guidance to staff and manager

  • Accurate and pays attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume payroll processing environment
  • Experience in using Midland iTrent payroll software essential
  • An understanding and experience of running different payroll

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SAP etc.
  • Good knowledge of MS products such as Excel, Word etc.
  • Familiar with RTI processes
  • Knowledge of Pensions Auto-enrolment legislation
