About our Crisis and Resilience practice

A career in our Crisis and Resilience practice, within the client s UK s Risk line of service, provides the opportunity to help our clients build resilience, identify and manage issues, prepare for crises and support them when disruption occurs. We support clients to build resilience and sustainability by embedding measures to prevent, respond to, recover and learn from operational disruptions, with a particular focus on important services and third parties, technology, data, premises and people. We require an experienced Senior Manager to support our team in this growing area of helping our clients develop and embed operational resilience programmes. This is an exciting time to join the practice as we grow at pace to help meet our clients requirements across industries.


The role

As a Senior Manager, you ll play a critical role as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their most complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specifically you will work with a wider team to support our clients as they seek to enhance their approach to Operational Resilience. This is also an opportunity to help grow the Crisis and Resilience practice working directly with senior members of the practice both in the UK and globally.

In this role, you can expect to perform any of the following client work:

  • Lead a team of consultants to undertake Operational Resilience maturity assessments, developing policies and frameworks.

  • Advise clients on how to implement Operational Resilience programmes successfully, drawing on the UK Financial Services regulation.

  • Play a critical role in helping the team to build their profile internally and externally outside of the firm and contribute to our business development and marketing efforts.

  • Work with colleagues in other services areas and support our clients Crisis and Resilience needs.


The essentials

As a minimum, candidates for this role must have the following experience:

  • Leading development and implementation of Operational Resilience programmes.

  • Undertaking business impact analysis and developing business continuity plans.

  • Technical experience in organisational resilience.

  • Proven ability / experience to work with stakeholders ranging from deeply technical to strategic leaders.

  • Ability to operate under pressure and lead teams effectively.

  • Strong academic background such as a Bachelor s or Master s degree.

  • Excellent communications skills and business writing skills.

  • Ability to build relationships effectively with your clients and across the firm.

  • Excellent project management skills including great organisation, highly motivated work ethic, the ability to drive projects forward, manage your own, and others time; and hold more senior team members to account on delivering high quality pieces of work.


Preferred Skills

  • We are looking for individuals that thrive in an entrepreneurial environment such that they are comfortable working independently, in teams and have experience of building networks across a big four or similar type of consultancy background.

  • Experience of implementing business continuity software / technology platforms.

  • Certification to relevant industry bodies such as Business Continuity Institute (BCI).

  • Experience of contributing to thought leadership and generating assets to improve the team s capability.

  • People that succeed in our business have a passion for resilience, are naturally inquisitive and get a buzz from solving complex problems. Furthermore, they have a good attention to detail allied with exceptional analytical aptitude. Most of all, they are excellent communicators as we are in a business founded on strong relationships.
