Scrum Master

Your main responsibilities would be:

• You build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating, and working well
  
• You identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them
  
• You focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services
  
• You encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team
  
• You coach and mentor both team members and colleagues to apply the profession s strategic Agile Delivery Framework (including theory, practices, rules and values)
  
• You help the organization around the team interact in a way that maximizes the value created by the team
  
• You work with your peers across Professions to make sure your matrixed teams are fully supported.
  
• Working with stakeholders and delivering on KPIs to inform and monitor the CDD journey
  
• Work with/ collate information from diverse teams such as data, engineering, risk, and compliance to design system requirements and Agile backlogs
  
• Manage stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization
  
• Have an opportunity to drive change and own ways of working improvements with your teams
  

Essential Experience:

Agile and Lean practices. You contribute to and support delivery of the Agile Delivery Profession strategy. You can recognize when something does not work and encourage a mindset of experimentation. You can adapt and reflect, be resilient and have the ability to see outside of the process. You use a range of Agile Delivery tools and techniques to get the best out of your team. You can measure and evaluate outcomes. You know how to help teams to manage and visualize outcomes. You actively coach teams to be self-organized in accordance with the profession s strategic Agile Delivery Framework. You know how to interpret delivery data and help teams understand where improvements can be made.

Communication skills. You work with the product manager and project manager to respond to business and technical stakeholder needs and expectations. You are capable of proactive and reactive communication. You can facilitate difficult discussions within the team or with diverse senior stakeholders.

Life-cycle perspective. You know when to move from one stage of a product life cycle to another. You can ensure the team is working towards the appropriate service standards for the relevant phase. You can manage delivery of products and services at different phases. You actively support product and project managers in controlling stage boundaries.

Maintaining delivery momentum. You can facilitate the delivery flow of a team, managing the pace and tempo. You actively remove impediments to sprint goals. You work closely with the project manager to capture, manage and resolve risks and issues.

Making a process work. You can identify and challenge organizational processes of increasing complexity and those processes that are unnecessarily complicated. You add value by coaching the organization to inspect and adapt processes. You know how to guide teams through the implementation of a new process.

Planning. You provide confidence in delivery by working with product and project managers to align plans, prioritizing the highest value stories in the product backlog. You understand the environment and can keep your team focused on a planned goal. You can use data to inform planning. You can work with the project manager to capture and manage dependencies. You work with your team to develop plans for difficult situations. You ensure that teams plan appropriately for their own capacity.

Team dynamics and collaboration. You know how to bring people together to form a motivated team. You can help to create the right environment for a team to work in and can empower them to deliver. You can recognize and deal with issues. You can facilitate the best team make-up depending on the situation. You actively support our recruitment initiatives to ensure we attract and retain the best talent into our teams. You actively contribute to our Agile Delivery Community of Practice. You engage your Peers in other Professions to get the best out of the team.

Requirements

• Proven agile experience with managing delivery teams through Scrum, Lean, Kanban or SAFe
  
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in various team settings
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
  
• BS in a relevant discipline or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (Desirable)
  
• Experience working with JIRA and JIRA Align (Desirable)
  
• Certified SAFe 4/5 Scrum Master would be a plus (Desirable)
  
• Considerable experience of Jira, Confluence, TestRail
  
• Considerable experience in crafting Epics, Stories, Tasks, dependencies and critical paths
  
• Preference for Agile Scrum Master certified
