We are currently seeking Software Asset manager (IT Asset Manager) to join our team. Software asset manager has to ensure the correct management of software assets (including software licenses) throughout their lifecycle. SAM is responsible for software from the minute it is requested, through procurement, deployment, recycling and finally retirement. Along with the software itself, SAM is also responsible for the license that comes with it, ensuring all users are using the software within the product use rights and ensuring that the organization maintains compliancy. Furthermore, SAM is also responsible for the continual updating of any software related processes, procedures, and policies. The three P s need to be updated on a regular basis to ensure that a company s license position remains relevant and to keep up with changes in licensing terms, or even changes in technology. It is up to the SAM personnel in conjunction with senior management s approval to review, evaluate and then change any or all the processes, procedures or software policies.

In your role, you will:

• Manage software licenses and where possible, avoid unnecessary spend.
  
• Control existing licenses ensuring there are no breaches in contract.
  
• Ensure licensing controls are in place and are effective, ensuring compliance with vendor contracts.
  
• Analyses software assets deployed throughout the organization.
  
• Ensure license requirements are fully understood by all relevant departments.
  
• Liaise with the other infrastructure & departments, specifically Procurement & Finance, to ensure all items are correctly recorded.
  
• Conducts internal reviews (audits) on selected software vendors to ensure they are audit ready
  
• Research s new license types and trends that may impact the organization.
  
• Responsible in capturing/Adding software assets into a database or SAM tool.
  
• Administer the tools and technologies as required to support recording of license entitlement and re-harvesting.
  
• Responsible to Produce Standard SAM reports.
  
• Responsible to monitor software license utilization, entitlements, compliancy.
  
• First point of contact for software asset requests & licensing related questions.
  
• Support in the population of the CMDB and auditing to maintain accuracy.
  
• Ensure always AUDIT ready.
  
• Respond to queries on entitlement, process, and governance.
  
• Support vendor entitlement audits as required.
  
• Maintain Configuration Items naming conventions, identification standards for object types, environment, processes, etc.
  
• Management of software libraries, toolset and data, ensuring housekeeping and maintenance is undertaken.
  
• Be responsible for implementing service asset management policyand standards governing and ensuring maintenance and integrity of the service asset and configuration information including Items required to deliver technology service, including their relationships within a Configuration Management Database.
  

Profil

Qualifications - External

As our ideal candidate,

• You have 5 years of hands-on experience as an ITSM Software Asset manager working with AMDB in ServiceNow.
  
• You have 5 years of experience in managing software license life cycle at an overall organization level.
  
• You have good knowledge of SAM standards such as ISO 19770-1/ ISO 19770-2/ ISO 19770 3.
  
• You have a University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical degree.
  
• You have good knowledge of SAM & CMDB applications & modules in ServiceNow.
  
• You have ServiceNow CIS-Software asset management certification (preferred).
  
• You have outstanding communication skills Written and Verbal, in English and/or French
  
• You have expertise on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
