Job Description:
Plans and executes high impact customer events such as national conventions, tradeshows, and customized, customer events. Coordinates logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support, and pre- and post-event evaluations. Procures and coordinates vendor services. Coordinates facility, exhibit set-up, equipment and catering requirements. Provides on-site event support. May research potential event locations and evaluate alternatives.The Event Specialist handles leading and oversight for all planning details to ensure a seamless event experience for our customers and internal teams. This role requires excellent vendor management skills, event organization, and on-site support.
Skills and Requirements:
Experienced in event planning
Comfortable with leading event planning calls with sales and leadership teams
Computer Proficient. Experienced in using Microsoft Office products, google products.
Attend on-site events estimated 20% travel for event execution.
Event Management Experience:
Manage event timelines and status movement throughout life of the event.
Create and manage the meeting agenda, schedule, and show flow.
Schedule, prepare for, and lead planning calls.
Coordinate speaker management, preparation calls, content organization, and scheduling.
Lead internal and external stakeholder teams through the event planning process.
Provide timely and accurate reporting for your meetings before, during, and after events.
Manage on-site event experience.
Vendor Management Experience:
Clearly communicate the goals, objectives, requirements, and specifications of event/program.
Oversee vendor responsibilities and communicate progress and updates to internal partners.
Including, but not limited to: sourcing location, customer communications, and customer travel.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s Degree in hospitality management, communications, business, or a comparable program.
Minimum Event Management experience of 2 years
Experience with Briefing Edge and Salesforce preferred, but not required.
