Position: Sr. Operator, Manufacturing

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Read, understand and implement written laboratory procedures.
Perform routine manufacturing/ production tasks on different product lines as assigned.
Handle and work with biological and chemical reagents.
Set-up and operate equipment including pipettes, centrifuges, Flow cytometric analyzers, PCRs and others related to assigned task.
Monitor in-house inventories and supplies including cycle counts and SAP entries.
Review data and recognize and report data inconsistencies.
Assist in developing, writing and instituting necessary documents.
Train other lower-level staff in Pre-production procedures.
Initiate reports related to nonconformances.
Solve problems related to the process, troubleshoot, and support solution generation.
Communicate with multiple functional groups with a variety of technical backgrounds.
Follow all safety requirements and escalate issues and concerns
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
Look for opportunities to improve process as to drive efficiencies.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
A combination of education and experience that confer the needed manufacturing, scientific, and laboratory technical skills will be considered such as:-
High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of related laboratory experience or 2 years college course work in Biotechnology, Sciences, or other technical field.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher learning institution with a degree in a technical or scientific field
Strong ability to write, investigative SOPs and other documents in standard English.
Good math skills, algebra or higher.
Ability to read, analyze and generate data in graph formats or other analytical tools.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
Strong organizational, record-keeping, and data analysis skills.
Able to work under critical and shifting timelines while remaining productive.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a 'can do' attitude.
Ability to work overtime and nonstandard work schedules as required to meet production schedule.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Frequently work at laboratory workstation, operating equipment, low temperature freezers, and computer workstations.
Some lifting of objects including laboratory instrumentation of 35 pounds.
Some travel may be required.
May handle human blood, serum, sharps such as needles, and other biologic substances of human and animal origin.
