Job Description:
Client CTS electronics technician will be responsible to provide lab based and customer-site calibrations, service, and support according to our approved processes and procedures for both accredited and standard calibrations.
Position requires hands on experience in testing, calibrating, and repairing of EMC test equipment. Perform unit and system level tests to various standards with the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.
The primary tasks associated with this position are:
Provide customer-site equipment repair, set-up, alignment, and calibration
Provide lab-based repair, calibration, adjustment and alignment of electronic equipment, system validation
Read and interpret electronic schematics and block diagrams
Operation of oscilloscopes, power meters, troubleshooting instruments and software
Issue accredited performance reports and records for calibrated equipment
Troubleshoot and Repair faults related to electronic equipment and instrumentation
Analysis of equipment setup and verification requirements according to various EMC related standards such as ISO 7637, IEC 61000-4-x, MIL-
STD 461 and DO-160.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed

Travel in the USA and Canada is required, with the possibility to attend annual training sessions in our European factories. Travel requirements are up to 30%.
Key skills necessary for success are:
Associates degree in Electronics or PMEL experience in calibration and repair of electronic equipment or equivalent
BSET and technician (troubleshooting and repair) experience preferred
Proficiency with oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies, and function generators
Exceptional organizational and logistical skills required to manage schedules, travel, shipping, certificates, and reporting
Ability to interact with customers and manage their questions
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Knowledge of ISO 17025 procedures and requirements preferred
Must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Regularly required to sit or stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms
Regular use of hands/fingers for handling, holding, grasping, and typing on a computer keyboard
The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
