Job Description
- Ensuring that all crew members are aware of their responsibilities before each flight
- Coordinating with air traffic control to ensure that flight plans are approved
- Managing crew schedules and rosters to ensure that there are enough qualified people to cover all shifts
- Reviewing weather reports and other conditions to ensure that flights can take off and land safely without disruption
- Documenting accidents, incidents, and other safety concerns and forwarding them to the appropriate departments for follow up
- Coordinating with maintenance staff regarding aircraft repairs and maintenance schedules
- Coordinating with ground crews to ensure that all equipment on board the aircraft is functioning properly before takeoff
- Instructing new hires on company policies and procedures, such as safety guidelines, aircraft operations, and customer service practices
- Scheduling regular maintenance checks on aircraft to ensure safe operation
