Job Description
- Perform hearing, vision, growth, development of students and other health screenings;
- Treat students and staff as needed;
- Provide healthcare and develop care plans for children with chronic or ongoing health conditions;
- Administer medication in cooperation with parents;
- Monitor student immunization records;
- Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene;
- Help students who have feeding disabilities;
- Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (i.e., prevention of communicable diseases;
- Write referrals for pediatricians and other health specialists;
- Ensure compliance with national and local health laws;
- Takes part in the procurement planning meetings;
- Participates in all school events including open houses, parent meetings, and others;
- Maintains open communication with co-workers and parents;
- Participates actively and meaningfully in professional development opportunities and attend all required mandatory training;
