Job Description
- Ensure the stable operation of our Windows server infrastructure including DNS, DHCP, file and print services, clustering, DFS, GPOs, Terminal Services and licensing
- Responsible for the operation of global program services, the interface to program partners, and monitoring the delivery of all program services
- Maintenance of Active Directory
- Programmatically support and update internal software applications and database components, including the part-time staff scheduling program, part-time staff login tool, instructor software request, instructor media request, student instructional inventory tool, content changes to lab.dce.harvard.edu
- Basics include maintaining user accounts, assigns file and SELinux context permissions
- Recommends and directs software changes and updates to keep department systems up-to-date
- Confers with user departments regularly to identify computerization needs and determines how the desired results can be achieved
