Full Stack Developer for Digital Health Start-up

At Fertilly, we are working towards creating a better patient journey for everyone undergoing fertility treatment. We are a team of 20+ enthusiastic and fun-to-work-with employees based in Berlin. Our core business is in helping patients find the best fertility clinic that suits their needs. To make the process of starting treatment easier for both patients and clinics, we have developed a web-based application handling patient data for which you will take over full responsibility and ownership.

Tasks

• As our first in-house tech employee you take over the further development of our web-based solution based on the requirements drafted by our project manager
• You will take full ownership of the back-end development and coordinate with freelancers working mainly on the front-end
• Your lead the technical integration of our software with future partner systems
• You ensure that our software is available and bug-free by taking over responsibility for running the deployment process and managing the server environment

Requirements

• You are experienced in developing and running web-based applications written in Java
• You are familiar with our tech stack and tools: Spring Boot, Jackson, Guava, Apache Maven, Git, Docker, PostgreSQL
• You have worked with REST-APIs to connect front and back-ends and used them (and
  potentially other methods) for data exchange between different systems
• You are a communicative person who proactively raises issues, has a can-to-attitude and is comfortable making decisions. You feel comfortable explaining technological choices and challenges to colleagues who are less IT-proficient than you are.
• You are fluent in English German is a plus, but by no means a must
• We have a very nice office in Berlin it would be great to see you here from time to time
