Job Description
- Plans and organizes the over-all operation of a poultry plant.
- Supervises workers who feed, water, and otherwise care for poultry, and clean poultry houses, pens, feeders, waterers, boiler rooms, and sheds.
- Maintains research records on mortality of poultry, feeding of poultry, and other information on poultry.
- Supervises the repair and painting of sheds, barns, and fences, and milling, loading, and unloading of feed.
- Assures the proper maintenance of proper lighting and heating for poultry pens and incubators.
- Locates markets for chickens and eggs.
- Orders feed ingredients and tabulates feed prices.
- Performs related work as required.
