Devops Engineer (AWS & Linux)

JOB

Responsible for building, deploying, maintaining and automating our software

development pipeline from source control through production.

Work closely with operations as a developer, or with development as an operation

professional.

Responsible for developing and delivering scripts and automation tools used to build,

integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms.

Ensure solutions are built based on company standards and that they can be deployed

with the company's environment (whether in a global or local environment).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain Application Infrastructure for production, staging and QA

environment

Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Industry standard tools and services

Troubleshoot any issues notified on the Infrastructure and identify the cause. If it's from

Devops side, have it resolved on time.

Develop automation scripts required for repetitive tasks

Take care of vulnerability management on the infrastructure that you support

Hardening Linux OS as well as Application Server to baseline security standard

Installing, networking, security management, troubleshooting and maintaining Debian

based Linux boxes.

Should work with the engineering team to understand the architecture and provide the

required resource in the most optimized and cost effective way.

Imagine, architect, develop, deploy, and evolve CI and CD systems for our cloud

applications

Write application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and

configuration tools

Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of

provisioning and operating client test as well as production environments

Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts

Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling

Work with developers to identify necessary AWS resources and automate their

provisioning. Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible

Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or

creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage

Incidence management and root cause analysis

CI/CD infrastructure and process troubleshooting (disk space, network issues etc).

CI/CD pipeline support (troubleshooting, support with setting up in new projects)

Work closely with key stakeholders to capture, analyze, and derive DevOps requirements

TECHNICAL SKILLS

You should have 5 to 10 years of Linux + Devops experience

You should have a good Server administration skills and preferably Linux

More than 6 years hand-on experience with AWS DevOps

Hands-on experience in continuous delivery and continuous integration of CI/CD

pipelines

You should have a good hands on Cloud concepts preferably AWS

You should be familiar with any one Configuration management tool like Ansible, Chef or

puppet

You should be familiar with IaC frameworks like Cloudformation, Terraform or equivalent.

Experience with AWS Repos, branching, code review and code analysis tools

Strong hands-on expertise in diverse DevSecOps concepts / tools, especially on AWS

DevOps, Pipelines, GitHub, GitHub actions

Ability to assess the requirement, environment and suggest right tools / technologies

Hands-on experience on Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker and

AWS ECS, ECR, EKS etc.

Good knowledge on shell scripting

You should be able to troubleshoot the issues and provide quick resolution

Knowledge on different monitoring, alerting and logging solutions available on AWS using

cloudwatch

Expertise on AWS Lambda

Excellent communication, presentation, and coding abilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Computer Graduate (Must BE or MCA or equivalent)
