Job Description
- Responsible for providing complete quantity estimates and studies for all deliverables involved in the assigned scope
- Identify design and constructibility issues and analysis to determine constructibility
- Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of the project
- Responsible for preparing and assembling bids and proposals and drawings for various contract types
- Determine required scope through the analysis of site conditions and all contract documents (plans specifications, etc.)
- Measure and value the work done on-site
- Collaborate with purchasing staff to ensure that General Conditions and Requirement items are appropriately captured in the estimate
- Perform an assessment on subcontractor proposals to ascertain if the scope is covered and also manage the risk of scope gaps
- Offer suggestions to the management or appropriate authority for contemplated expenditures
