Job Description
- Provides direction and guidance in the delivery of patient care, incorporating outcomes & research evidence to guide practice.
- Monitors compliance to pain management guideline and practices and reports finding to Chief Nursing officer (CNO) and takes corrective action for improvement as appropriate.
- Collaborates with the Head Nurses and nursing supervisorsin developing and Implementing educational activities that meetidentifiedlearning needs, professional developmentplan and job and/or unit specific competency requirement.
- Utilizes a core of Knowledge and skills effectively to achieve excellence in the role. This includes the ability to facilitate learning, advancement, total development and professional socialization of the learner, design appropriate learning experiences and evaluate learning outcome.
- Design, implement and evaluate theoretical and practical learning opportunities and assessment of competency based orientation program and preceptorship.
- Develop educational programs, formal and informal, for Nursing Staff.
- Determine and revise priorities for scheduled and unscheduled educational activities, market the educational activities and issue required,educational calendars, flyers etc.
- Provide support, guidance, and feedback for Nurse Educators on their performance and to new nursing staff to complete the orientation competencies within the designated time.
- Demonstrates flexibility in dealing with changing daily demands in the service.
- Integrate ethical principles into all aspects of practice.
