Job Description
- Supports comprehensive pain management program development and implementation at the COMPANY pain program to meet the needs of patients/ families and staff in collaboration with other members of the multi – disciplinary team.
- Conducts daily rounds to all clinical units,provides care and advice for both inpatients and outpatients with pain management needs. This includes pain assessment, and provision of advice on the implementation of treatment plans.
- Acts as a role model in empowering the nurses to provide a high standard of care for patients experiencing pain.
- Participates in initiatives to develop, evaluate and refine nursing interventions for patients with pain.
- Ensures that nursing practice includes physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions utilizing the nursing process with consideration to developmental and maturational needs of patients.
