Senior IT Specialist

Job Description

• Designing and implementing functional network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
• Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated.
• Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
• Responsible for firewall configuration
• Monitor network performance and integrity.
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Communicate with users when needed
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
• Dealing with vendors.
• Conducting regular network performance tests.
• Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior staff.
• Drawing up network status reports.
• Responsible for Security Systems installation, Maintenance, and Technical Support including Access Control, IP CCTV, and Time & Attendance.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols
• Familiarity with communication and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with access control models and network security
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.

Job Requirements

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience at least 6 - 8 years.
• Industry-related experience as Network Administrator.
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP -or similar). Is a plus.
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• Sharp troubleshooting skills.
• High-level problem-solving and communication skills.
