Job Description

  • Develop outlet sales and delivers highest numeric & weighted distribution of the COMPANYproducts by Channel.
  • Review MTD Sales Channels by Sales Representatives and give directions when necessary to Salesman accordingly.
  • Train, inspire & motivate sales delivery team in order to achieve COMPANYmonthly objectives.
  • Translate COMPANYSales objectives into specific action plans to improve distribution, share of shelf, market share & other KPI’s per category, brand and outlet by channel.
  • Maintain credit control of credit customers (PSM & Wholesaler) only in line with COMPANY trading terms.
  • Spend 80% of the time in the field with the sales team and documents it in a field contact and on-the-job training reports.
  • Ensure to Follow up the delivery schedule and collection of customer order process from its fundamentals as a part of the DSD supervisor responsibility.
  • Ensure to maintain and check the Cash Van coverage according to the delivery sales team journey plan and orders.
  • Ensure to implement COMPANYBDA’s at PSM by 100% with the team.
  • Assist in monitoring the Food Sales Department’s operating results (i.e. sales numbers in terms of value and volume, new customers, etc.) in order to ensure sales plans are properly implemented.
  • Minimize Food sales returns/damaged goods and short expiry goods by monitoring returns, implementing the depletion plan and avoiding overstocking the points of sales.
  • Review reports received from the DSD Manager pertaining to any arising issues pertaining to sales, customer requirements, delivery of stock, inventory, etc. and take corrective actions, as required.
  • Review and approve the sales quotations developed by the DSD Manager, in order to be communicated to the customers.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends by understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, competitive products, legislation and brand awareness.
  • Build external networks to understand market trends & competitor activity that will allow the company to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
  • Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
