Job Description
- Prepares, controls, and issues pharmaceutical products.
- Prescription handling and dispensing: under close supervision, manually or using a computerized system: receives, interprets, compounds, manufactures, files, labels, issues and files prescriptions, bulk drug, sterile product and/or unit dose orders.
- Serves as subject matter expertise and primary point of contact for receipt and disposal of controlled substances to include narcotics.
- Maintains regulatory and legal certifications required to perform the function of processing-controlled substances to include narcotics.
- Prepares and processes discrepancy reports, as needed; satisfies customer inquiries as received.
- Maintains required regulatory audit trail for the receipt and distribution of all controlled and non-controlled substances.
- Complies with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Regulations verifying receipt of Schedule II-V Controlled Substances, and reports to DEA, as needed.
- Complies with higher-headquarters regulations, policies and procedures reference the distribution of controlled substances.
