The Operations and Maintenance Engineerleads the Operations and Maintenance team in the testing, monitoring, installation and troubleshooting of electricity transmission or distribution equipment, auxiliaries, energy storage, control systems and substations.
- Analyse constraints and risks associated with the formulation of contracts.
- Analyse the impact of emergency responses and safety procedures on business operations.
- Conduct operations, maintenance and expansion of the Power Quality Monitoring System.
- Create risk assessment measures for work carried out at site.
- Implement Safe System of Work (SSoW) frameworks and safety regulations.
- Implement processes to integrate distributed generation sources with the grid.
- Lead in condition monitoring work on equipment.
- Lead in network support services.
- Lead in preventive and corrective maintenance works on equipment, auxiliaries, cables, energy storage or systems in accordance with schedule and maintenance procedures.
- Lead in the daily operations of the Distribution Control Centre, Electricity Service Centre or Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.
- Lead in workplace safety checks.
- Lead installation, commissioning and maintenance on Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.
- Monitor Permits-To-Work procedures.
- Monitor contractors on work safety practices.
- Plan across major cable diversion works, and equipment and cable fault repair work for Operations and Maintenance.
- Provide on-site technical advice to stakeholders on cable and gas pipe damage prevention measures.
- Review investigations and follow-up on the damages to cables and pipelines.
- Review mitigating measures recommended based on disturbance event reports.
- Support the Emergency Response team on site incident management.
