Job Description

Mandate of BCM s SME Job Overview Main Responsibilities Work as a Part of BCM team who deal with top management in all lines of the organization to coordinate business continuity governance activities. Develop business continuity methodology, and provide its source & References. Review BCM policy, framework, and procedures. Ensure that all works are carried out in a structured way, considering all related policies, procedures, and instructions. Develop BIA, RA and business continuity strategy and solutions. Support and advice in the development of strategy and solutions of BCM, including RTO, MTPD, and RPO. Develop business continuity plan, incident & crisis management plan and disaster recovery plan. Support and advice the development of evacuation plans and ensure achieving the intended results. Define Business Continuity tests & exercises plan and its frequency. Support and advice in identifying and monitoring alternative sites to ensure their readiness. Ensuring that all technical components of the Business Continuity Plans are successfully tested. Support and advice in documenting and following up on the results of BCM tests and showing non-conformity with the target results. Support and advice in developing corrective actions and ensuring their effectiveness. Support and advice in developing a warning mechanism, receiving and handling reports of accidents, crises and disasters. Recommend recovery strategies and options, and assist with the implementation of recovery solutions. Ensuring all personnel with specific Business Continuity responsibilities are adequately trained to fulfill their assigned responsibilities. Provide expertise and support to management and business functional areas, as requested, when a business disruption occurs. Coordinate and follow up with BCM teams to ensure the proper execution of their role, during crises and disasters effectively. Develop a methodology for comprehensive review and evaluation at all stages of the BCM system and its outputs. Develop business continuity report and dashboard for top management. Develop schedules for training /awareness for business partner associates. Coordinate with the organization s subsidiaries and third parties. Insures appropriate integration of requirements and information obtained from various sources; including external regulators and auditors. Enhance Communication with related departments. Knowledge transfer to BCM team. Competencies & Skills Communication skills (verbal/written). PC skills. Risk Management Principles and Practice Analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Team skills, both as a leader and as a team player. Project management skills. Business analysis skills. Negotiation skills. Expected Deliverables BCM Policy, Framework and Procedures. RTO, RPO and MTPD for each main services/application. BIA, RA, BCSS, BCP, CMP and DRP. (at least for 20 main services) BCM Tests & Exercises Plan. Non-conformity and Corrective actions. BCM Report and Dashboard. Awareness Program. Technical Assessment for BCMS Road Map for BCMS. Knowledge transfer Experience More than 12 Years of experience in business continuity. Certified Business Continuity (Specialist/ Auditor).
