Our story - Turner & Townsend Turner & Townsend in UAE The UAE has become a major tourist destination, with the hospitality industry generating over $20bn annually. Global mega event Expo 2020 in conjunction with UAE Vision 2021 are fulfilling the demand for new bespoke mixed use schemes. Additionally, due to its strategic geographical location and modern infrastructure, the UAE is a leading logistics and travel hub. The country continues to benefit from major injection of capital aimed at further enhancing the infrastructure network and developing top class real estate in order to make the UAE among the best countries to live in the world. Making the difference in UAE Despite low oil prices, Turner & Townsend’s growth trajectory in the UAE has continued impressively. For the past few years, revenue has grown by an average of 35 percent year-on-year. Since the opening of our first office in the UAE in 2006, our workload has been on a steady increase and our headcount has grown from ten to over 230 in 2018. Serving over 180 clients during the last decade, flagship programmes have included Midfield Terminal Building Expansion at Abu Dhabi Airport, Concourse D at Dubai Airport, Passenger Terminal Building at Al Maktoum Airport, Masdar City and multiple Emaar’s hospitality and residential projects.
