Senior Network Engineer
Salmiya Kuwait
JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:
Candidateshould possess handson experience on Cisco ACI and Transmission data centerinter connect.
Hewill be responsible to support implement troubleshoot maintain and documentnetwork operation manual and activities.
Hewill play an active role in daytoday network operations capacity managementresilience.
Hewill adopt industries best practices and technologies required for Enterprisenetwork environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectivelymanages and develops network and infrastructure services in support of thestrategic and operational business requirements of the xxxxxx and itscustomers.
Ensuresthe security and optimum performance of the network and infrastructureservices. Operational:
Configurationmaintenance and support of network solutions in Offices Data Centers andexternal projects of the company;
Configurationand maintenance of network equipment such as Switches Routers Firewalls andLoad Balancers.
Coordinatewith multiple projects teams;
Optimizationof network infrastructure;
Documentationof network topologies and changes;
Troubleshootingof networking issues root cause analysis;
Preparationand coordination of technical tasks maintenance of project documentation; Design & supervise the allocationcommissioning /decommissioning of Brokers network.
Promotedecommissioning of inefficient solutions.
Implementand manage disaster recovery and backup.
Updatesjob knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Recommendinformation technology strategies policies and procedures by evaluatingorganization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipatingrequirements. Assign &track all infrastructure related requests to comply with SLA/OLA
Planand Execute DR tests as required by the business.
Maintainand support all network systems and related infrastructure to agreed standards/ service level agreements.
Installand configure new network component and software.
Coordinatewith third party like Akamai Google etc to provision subscribed services.
Monitoring Alerting & Reporting
Monitor& report infrastructure performance on a timely basis.
Performroutine audits of network systems and their software.
Monitorthe compliance to the enterprises security policies.
Monitorand report incidents to IT Security Monitorand ensure availability of IT infrastructure.
MonitorIPsec and Brokers connectivity.
MonitorBGP on both internet & WAN segments
Reviewsand responds to out of hours critical text alerts as required.
Documentation
Documentsystems configuration and resolutions.
Createand maintain policies for users systems and network related applications.
Createand maintain DR procedures.
Reviewand Update ISMS procedures on yearly basis.
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE &SKILLS:
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelorsdegree in computer science Information Systems or related discipline.
Certifications:
CCIER&S/ Data Center/ Service provider
CCNPSecurity
CertifiedAdvanced Networking for Cloud.
Minimum Experience:
15years of experience in IT Networks within capital markets or banking industryor financial institution; preferably within an exchange.
CiscoACI expertise 2 years minimum experience.
Transmissionsystems expertise such as Adva Alcatel Lucent Ciena.
Skills:
Knowledgeof DWDM CWDM link Power budget calculation.
Knowledgeof Multiplexing of different services over Muxponders.
Knowledgeof ACI architectures including single site multipod multisite.
Knowledgeof ACI components (Tenant BD VRF APIC L2out and L3out) Nexus DCtechnologies such as vPC VXLAN.
Functionallevel knowledge of implementing ACI using infrastructure as code and automationtools (Rest API Ansible).
Strongworking knowledge in switching and routing domains: STP VLAN 802.1x IPv6LACP Stacking VRF PBR GRE HSRP secured VTI OSPF ISIS BGP(iBGP eBGPMPBGP) NAT IPSec ACL;
Handson experience in Cisco EnterpriseData Center Switches Cisco Router ISRASRCisco ASAFirepowerFTDFPMC FortiNetWEB CISCOFortiNetF5 VirtualAppliance.
Knowledgeof the principles of operation and configuration Data Center SpineandLeafArchitecture.
Good/Advancedlevel of *nix operating systems;
Knowledgeof Bash Python Go scripting etc;
Knowledgeof Cloud/Virtualization Technologies: KVM OpenStack ESXi;
Comprehensivehandson skills in configuration and troubleshooting of networking environment.
Responsibleand Selfmotivating attitude.
Higheducability and systems thinking
Exposureto ITIL Project Management CISSP
Indepthknowledge of computer networking and security
Excellentin working with all network & security devices from different vendors.
Excellentworking knowledge of Windows Server Linux Server Virtualization platform likeHyperV ESXi.
Excellentin Firewalls Routers Core Switches WAFs AD DNS IPsec.
Experienceof working in complex high pressured environments.
Goodunderstanding of Cloud and mobile technology.
Excellentoral written and presentation communicationskills.
