Academic Lead for Primary Maths

ICS is looking to appoint outstanding and aspirational Academic Lead for Primary Maths to join our talented, energetic, cohesive and friendly Primary Team from August 2022. You will be committed to the teaching of mathematics that facilitates application of skills to authentic contexts and ensures that the whole Primary approach to skill development is rigorous and scaffolded to ensure highly effective learning. You are an advocate for approaches to learning that develop understanding as well as recall and appreciate the importance of developing a love of Mathematics.
As a class-based academic lead, you will collaborate with the Academic Lead for STEM as well as classroom teachers. You will be excited to help move the school forward through an embedded culture of self evaluation and review that ensures evidence-driven decisions are made within and by a team. As a leader, embracing #weareics, you should be optimistic and open-minded, collaborative and kind, and always curious about how your own practice and the practice of your team can better support each and every student, true to the school s vision statement and #thrive approach.
