Duties
- Assist the Design Director in engaging consultants to produce initial construction documentation, conceptual framework, and design briefs.
- Selection and engagement of consultants to produce construction documentation.
- Assist with the management of the engaged consultants throughout the construction phase.
- Assess opportunities and apply an innovative approach to design options and strategy.
- Coordinate closely with relevant departments during the draft development stage of design briefs and scopes of work to ensure design packages meet requirements and comply with relevant international Codes and Standards and Best Practice.
- Actively participate in the preparation and review of design briefs and scopes of work, from master planning to conceptual design to detailed design, through close coordination with other departments.
- Coordinating and driving design consultants, and relevant stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Develop and manage all project documentation, including plans, programs, and budgets.
- Attending meetings to assist clarification of any project design and construction issues.
- Simultaneously managing multiple projects in various stages of the design.
- Identify value engineering opportunities.
- Identify, manage, and minimize project risks.
The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Consistently seek to improve the company’s design & operational quality efficiently & intuitively.
- Coordinate project activity and manage consultants, contractors, and authorities as required.
- Review design documentation, recommend improvements and provide value adding solutions
- Facilitate and manage required design and delivery outcomes.
- Facilitate and manage engagement of consultants and project managers.
- Monitor design program and budget.
- Evaluate options to determine best risk weighted outcomes and make recommendations.
- Facilitate and manage development and compliance of design and project brief.
Qualifications:
- Significant demonstrated experience within development industry with a minimum of 10 years of property development experience with a portfolio of projects.
- Academic Degree in Architectural Engineering/Architecture/Urban Design or equivalent.
- Strong project planning skills with an aptitude for managing multiple projects with a solution orientated mindset.
- Exposure to project management, property development, planning and design development, including master planning processes.
- § Exposure to the preparation and analysis of financial feasibility studies, budgeting, and cost monitoring.
- Experience in successful executing large scale projects in past - ideally in mixed use, commercial, resorts, residential or hotels.
- Ability to interpret architectural documentation and consultant reports.
- Able to deliver results within a given framework.
- Attention to detail and strong desire for delivery of quality developments.
