- Act as a resource person for the activities related to design and implement capacity building program of primary health care workers to address the health consequences of the environmental disaster with specific focus on the needs of young population and vulnerable groups.
- Contribute to the effective and efficient programmeimplementation and achievement of outcomes, and ensure proper use of financial, human and other resources for the activities outlines in the work plan and in line with the budget available.
- Conduct training need assessment and capacity building of health professionals on various issues related to health including maternal child health issues, HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, lung health, etc.
- Facilitate the process of building capacity and counselling on family planning in target districts.
- Ensure that system counselling services are sustainable extended through legal and economic support services with special focus on women.
- In coordination and partnership with national partners and other programme stakeholders design information analyticalframeworkon all aspectsofrespiratory diseases (eg. PAL strategy), tuberculosis, maternity child health,and environmental health, including institutional and human resources development, appropriate technology, hygiene education, community involvement, gender issues in environmental health, etc..
- Conduct survey to identify baseline data on community and volunteer health care workers and system; generate the process of getting inputs, information, statistical data includinggender disaggregated data and make the analysis of the above data, provide relevant report.
- Work closely with national partners including Ministry of Health (MoH) of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional authorities, mahallas and community members to identify potential community and volunteer health care workers.
- Incorporate all the date on volunteers into the special database and ensure timely and proper update of the information.
- In close collaboration with MoH facilitate the process of elaboration of training modules, its printing and dissemination among participants.
- Take responsibility for organizing and conducting training needs assessment and capacity building activities on basics of primary health care, respiratory diseases, and other diseases related to environmental degradation and climate change
- Assist Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in designthe monitoring and evaluation system for healthcare system
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation of activities in particular those initiatives conducted by the Community Healthcare Apprentices and pre-mid and post monitoring and evaluation of objectively verifiable indicators; maintain records of such monitoring.
- Foster and raise awareness on importance of human security in the context of improvement of health conditions with special focus on MCH, HIVAIDS, tuberculosis, primary health cares, respiratory diseases, sexual and reproductive health, lung health (PAL strategy), etc.
- Contribute to the process of procurement and generating technical specifications for the assets, goods and services as needed and indicated in the plan and in line with the budget available in accordance with UN/UNDP procedures
- Contribute to the preparation of the programme progress and final reports on issues related to public health and implementation of activities of the Component II.
- Ensure coordination and facilitate knowledge sharing between the programme and national partners and programme beneficiaries.
- In coordination withnational authorities monitor and evaluate implementation PAL strategy in Karakalpakstan and provide relevant report to programme stakeholders.
- Support the Ministry of Health in updating and adapting relevant guidelines, materials and tools, and in performing training needs assessments, organizing and implementing training activities.
- Facilitate smooth information flow of the Programme activities between the Ministry of Health and other involved institutions, programme stakeholders through sharing of reports, meetings etc.
- Deal with and facilitate the missions of the Programme addressing human security context.
