Job Description

Assistant Sales Manager, Parts and Accessoriesmanages a team of sales professionals in order to promote product sales, achieve sales targets, turnover, profit, market share growth and customer satisfaction index. The responsibilities includes:

Strategic:

1. Contribute to the formulation of strategic plans and budgets in order achieve business results.

2. Monitor implementation of the annual plans and measure achievements of results against the budgets and objectives and take corrective measures as appropriate.

3. Identify the strategic business and market trends, i.e. competitors and principals activities, customer’s behaviors, and ensure alignment of the various business components to these trends and recommend solutions to cope with market changes.

4. Recommend strategies to enhance performance of the department by reducing cost and optimizing efficiency levels.

Operational:

1. Assign targets to the sales team, follow up on targets, analyze variances and submit report to the Senior Manager and Business Director with recommendations.

2. Review monthly sales data, prepare report on variance and submit report with recommendations to the Sr. Manager and Business Director.

3. Ensure customer prospecting database is constantly updated and maintained, identify and interact with Key Account Customers through email, personal visit, contact etc. to maintain customer satisfaction and to sustain and improve the business.

4. Oversee market research activities and review market intelligence report for network expansion, sales promotion, prepare report and submit to Sr.Manager with findings for further action.

5. Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans, such as promotions, advertising campaigns, etc… to help develop sales and market share.

6. Analyze parts demand; prepare sales forecast and ensure maintaining appropriate level of stock in the branch upon approval of Sr.Manager.

7. Follow up on net price quotations with the Deputy Manager, Marketing & Pricing.

8. Oversee the delivery schedules and ensure delivery of parts as per time and location in coordination with Manager, Logistics and Warehouse.

9. Analyze financial credibility of customers and recommend increase or reduction of credit limit upon approval of Sr.Manager.

10. Ensure adherence of sales team to company policies, approve discount, sales return etc.

11. Contribute to the development and implementation of incentive schemes.

12. Conduct Monthly Branch meetings, Visit branches, verify Retail Standards and ensure compliance as per set Principal/Department standards and report to Senior Manager and Business Director with findings/recommendations.

13. Attend to and resolve escalated customer complaints and represent the business unit at senior level within the customer base to ensure its image is maintained and enhanced, develop customer base and generate business.

14. Monitor changes in the market situation and legislative requirements, competition, customer feedback, report to management and recommend or implement action to meet changing circumstances as required.

15. Monitor and report on sales activities and performance and take corrective measures as necessary.

People Management:

1. Identify, set and agree on KPIs and objectives.

2. Prepare performance planning (PP) and conduct performance appraisal (PA) and PP/PA interviews including employee development plans and counsel employees on career progression opportunities and approve training requests.

3. Recommend employee promotions, salary adjustments, and disciplinary actions and approve vacation and overtime.

4. Identify staffing needs, participate in interviewing panels and take hiring decisions.

5. Maintain and promote staff motivation by addressing employee grievances promptly and escalating when necessary and enforcing fair and equitable compliance with Group policies and procedures.

Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and presentations.

Document and maintain records of activities and process workflows on E-Synergy.

Adhere to Al-Sayer Group policies and health and safety regulations.

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor degree with 10 years experienceorDiploma in materials with12 years experience
