Quality Control Engineer

Job Description

1. Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
2. Gathering and Identifying business requirements
3. Creating testing plans/cases
4. Testing new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
5. Work collaboratively with the developing team to correct errors and participate in testing for product releases
6. Test automation and test methodology (ex:) Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
7. Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, and scalability testing
8. Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.

Job Requirements

1. MSc. Computer Science, BSc. Computer Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum 1 year of experience in software testing.
3. Knowledge of various programming languages (e.g., C sharp, C++, SQL, etc.)
4. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting and use SQL queries to validate the output results in back-end databases
5. Experience in API testing, Mobile testing, Web/Mobile Automation testing, Postman, SoapUI, Selenium or similar tools
6. Experience using project tracking software (ex: JIRA, DevOps)
7. ISTQB- Foundation Level would also be considered an asset
8. Experience using version control systems (ex: Git or Mercurial) would be considered an asset.
