Responsibilities.
- To be a member of the Learning Support Team
- To initiate, design, implement and review social skills programs throughout theschool
- To support and contribute to planning to identify opportunities forintervention
- To provide academic counselling to graduating students
- To assist in the implementation of the curriculum by providing support to staff and students to enhance their performance.
- To participate in planning meetings to identify opportunities forintervention
- To conduct workshops for the whole school community and for interest groups within thecommunity..
- To attend and contribute to PTA meetings asrequired
- To participate in assemblies to disseminateinformation
- To assist in theorganisationof school events as required
- To maintain records and ensureconfidentiality
- To adhere to budgets and be accountable for purchases
- To participate in the induction program for new staff
- To provide emotional support to new staff and their families to ensure a smooth transition into the ISL Qatar community
- Toorganiseand provide professional development to staff
- To provide reading material for staff to enhance theirknowledge
- To show genuine interest in all students and ensure that the IB Learner Profile are prominent aspects of their schoollife
- To develop rapport with students to create an atmosphere of trust andrespect
- To track the transition of new students to the school
- To monitor new staff and provide support andmentoring
- To liaise with Phase Coordinators to ensure that each student’s social, emotional and academic needs are wellserved
