Job purpose: To plan, budget and oversee the operations of a catheterization laboratory, hiring employees, scheduling and ensuring that the lab always provides support to cardiologists and surgery teams.
Essential Experience
- 10 years of experience related to Cathlab
- 4 Years Cathlab Managerial Experience
- Ideally 3 years working in GCC
- Strong working knowledge of Cathlab process and procedures
Education requirements

- Main tasks and responsibilities (the position exist to perform the below tasks and essential activities)
- Plan and administer directly and through subordinate supervisory personnel, the effective management and delivery of diagnostic and treatment Cath lab procedures in accordance with the hospital, system and regulatory agency standards.
- Ensure quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
- Develop, secure approval of and administers capital and operating budgets in order to meet agreed-upon departmental goals and objectives. Develops and implements appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
- Serves as technical resource to subordinates in resolving complex problems and in investigating and recommending corrective actions in response to incident reports and/or patient complaints.
- Reviews and approves recommendations for department equipment modifications, new supplies, and minor equipment purchases.
- Establish the short and long-term strategy for the division, translate it into business plans with objectives and performance indicators and report on the progress of activities against those plans to measure success to support the achievement of PIH’s strategic objectives.
- Build and lead a motivated, engaged and competent manpower throughout the division, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Recommend an optimum organization structure for the division in coordination with superior and the Human Resources, to ensure efficient and effective workflow of operational processes and optimal utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with Human Resources in the development of the division’s manpower plan to ensure timely and best-of-class delivery of tasks.
- Prepare and recommend the division’s budget in alignment to the respective annual business plan and ensure proper cascading into departmental budgets.
- Manage the development, implementation of and compliance to business unit policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to ensure an efficient and effective operation.
