الوصف الوظيفي
- Shall be positioned onboard drilling unit. Shall be directly reporting to Day Company man / Night Company man (as directed) and acts as a focal point between Rig-site and base office for all operational and field-based issues. Maintains good communication with Drilling Superintendent and Senior Engineer or other Company representatives to ensure delivery of wells.
- Shall be on normally on tour during the hours of 0600 to 1800; however, during delicate & risky operations, drilling complications and well control situation will be required to work any time.
- Duty cycle shall be 28 days on-duty and 28 days off-duty.
- Will closely monitor on day-to-day basis with KOC operational and drilling engineering personnel of all offshore operations / activities confirming contractor’s compliance with KOC procedures, contractual requirements, and international drilling practices.
- Shall focus on analysing, clarifying, advising, and resolving key issues and areas of concern or uncertainty related to well engineering, well material requirement, drilling operations plan, drilling services requirements, logistics, HSE issues, risk assessment, contingencies and other required services.
- Familiarity with Drilling Software would be an added advantage.
- Oversees the efficient execution of drilling activities to ensure operations run smoothly. Responsible for ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Coordinate rig site response to incidents and accidents. Responsible for doing a first-line investigation and reporting of all accidents and incidents on the location
- Improve the execution quality of drilling, work over and well completion activities by optimizing proven techniques and practices, and implementing new technology and innovative operating methods; evaluate and report results; contribute to the development, upgrading and maintenance of drilling and completion standards.
- Report and quality check the well data reported in company reporting system in order to provide high quality data stored in data management systems.
