- Actively engage with Operations to resolve current operating problems, identify and resolve potential operating problems and provide guidance to improve operational performance
- Responsible person for process engineering on existing and future facilities.
- Proficient in core HSE management skills.
- Provide excellent client and Financial Team liaison.
- Actively seek on and offline opportunities for prompt improvements in integrity and performance (i.e. leak avoidance, and de-bottlenecking)
- Create a register of equipment tags and daughter tags for identifying all items of equipment for entry into CMMS and P&ID’s
- Review current P&ID’s and where there are inaccuracies or omissions, ensure accurate, updated and authorised copies are produced for your discipline area of expertise.
- Ensure implementation of Management of Change Procedure from inception, design and commissioning.
- Produce timely reports for the Shutdown Manager and support Shutdown Teams in equipment post task preparation and re-commissioning.
- Apply solid engineering judgement at all times and ensure BP’s current and future codes, procedures and standards are adhered to.
- Provide guidance to the Planning Team Leader and Procurement Coordinator
- Compile / distribute comprehensive process improvement plans progress reports.
- Contribute to Management Team handovers on request.
- Compile detailed handovers pre / post field breaks.
- Support and input into the clients’ Materials Maintenance Management System.
- Identify and suggest priorities for enhancement of Process function. Liaising with; BP Maintenance Manager or nominated representative, Peer Group, Project and Shutdown Managers, Maintenance and Construction Supervisors and Finance Team.
- Provide input for root cause analysis studies.
- 15 years post grad experience in Petrochemical or Oil and Gas operations on mature and EPC projects
- B.Sc or equivalent degree in Chemical/Process engineering
- Expert knowledge in Oil and Gas Processing and Utilities
- Expert knowledge of calculations, simulations, sampling regimes and optimisation
- Working knowledge of Fire and Gas, PLCs, Analysers, and fixed protection systems
