Operate and maintain vacuum sewer systems to ensure efficient wastewatertransport minimizing downtime and service interruptions.
Conduct regular inspections of vacuum stations and collection tanks identifying signsof wear and potential failures before they escalate.
Perform routine maintenance on pumps valves and other machinery followingestablished safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in real time utilizing diagnostic tools tomaintain system integrity.
Document all maintenance activities inspections and repairs in detail ensuringcompliance with local regulations and standards.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and implementimprovements to the vacuum sewer system.
Respond to emergency calls promptly assessing situations and executingappropriate remedial actions to restore service.
Train new operators on the proper use of equipment and safety practices fostering aculture of safety and efficiency.
Monitor environmental conditions and adherence to regulations prepared to reportany incidents or noncompliance issues.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies coordinating with suppliers toensure availability and timely replacements.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent and technical certification in wastewater treatment or a related field are preferred.
Proven experience in operating and maintaining vacuum sewage systems
Strong understanding of wastewater management principles and regulatory requirements.
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically in highpressure situations.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to various audiences.
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
