Key Accountabilities
- Promote HSE policies culture and objectives across the project site.
- Ensure contractor compliance with contractual HSE requirements.
- Supervise HSE activities at offshore locations.
- Maintain high visibility at the site demonstrating a commitment to safety ("walking the talk").
- Intervene and report HSE deficiencies when identified.
- Participate in project HSE meetings training and inspections as required.
- Collaborate with the project team to uphold safety standards at the assigned location.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Tasks:
- Attend HSE Supervisors Briefing each morning.
- Participate in locationspecific Toolbox Talks (TBT) within the assigned area.
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures in both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
- Conduct preshift gas tests as an Authorized Gas Tester (AGT).
- Collaborate with Field Operations (FOPS) and other discipline supervisors to address HSE concerns.
- Submit daily observations and actions taken to the HSE Superintendent.
- Coach and monitor Contractor HSE Officers onsite.
- Verify the effectiveness of rescue plans and actively participate in emergency drills.
- Ensure that HSE communication materials are adequately displayed onsite.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections as per the HSE calendar provided by the HSE Superintendent.
- Perform assigned HSE activities including hygiene inspections and induction checks.
- Attend HSE review meetings with contractors as required.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of verifiable experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in offshore construction and commissioning activities.
- Strong understanding of offshore SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).

- OPITO H2S
- TBOSIET
- Authorized Gas Tester (AGT)
- Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (OERTM)
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification
Bachelor s degree in engineering Experience: Overall minimum 15 years experience. Out of which at least 10 years experience in the offshore oil & gas projects Minimum 7 years experience as onsite construction manager for any brownfield modification works at Offshore O&G Platforms Professional Experience in Engineering / interface and Project Management : Min 10 years Experience of installation of telecom cabinets, cable trays, cable structural supports (hot works), Fibre Optic & Electrical cable laying, testing and commissioning of Fibre Optic Cables. Familiar with Permit to Work System and take ownership of HSE during offshore construction works. Available for technical missions worldwide, Familiar with Total General Specifications is desirable Language: Fluent English, Computer literate, Good leadership skills and good communication skills, Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment, Good analytical skills, H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings is useful. Major Emergencies Management Initial Response (MEMIR) ( OPTIO approved) Large spectrum of skill and competencies in various engineering disciplines coordination and/or in Interface and Project Management, offshore experience is mandatory. A good knowledge of Contractual matters would be necessary.
