SCOPE OF JOB:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair overhaul of diesel engines of diesel driven
equipment like dewatering pumps and compressors diaphragm pumps hydro static test
pumps hydraulic cylinders hydra jetting machines lathes scissor lifts etc. which are used
for workshop operation.
Receives work assignments from Supervisor as per preventive maintenance schedule of
workshop
equipment collects required tools from tool room and proceeds to worksite to carry out the
job.
2) Troubleshoots rotary equipment like diesel engine / centrifugal pumps etc to diagnose the
root cause and
execute breakdown maintenance also prepares a list of spare parts required for future
maintenance.
3) Capable to do the electrical cable terminations of portable power tools and PWHT
machine as and when
required.
4) Maintains log of oil service done of applicable workshop equipment includes lub oil
replacement fuel
and lub oil filter replacement cleaning of equipment as per OEM recommendations.
5) Maintains the batteries of all workshop diesel driven equipment by top up the electrolyte
level sand
periodical engine operations for charging of batteries if long time idle cases.
6) Ensure the proper disposal of waste lub oil / used engine oils as per Company waste
management
procedure.
7) Provide the list of spares required for periodical maintenance like lub oil filters air filters
fuel filters lub
oils for all the workshop equipment.
8) Observe safety precautions and QHSE regulations in his line of duty.
9. Works 60% of the work time in prevailing weather conditions outdoors. The remaining
spent indoors.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
All mechanical and electrical related activities to the service and maintenance of diesel
engines various pumps compressors hydro test pumps hydraulic cylinders etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Completion of secondary education (over all 12 years education)
2. 2 years full training in a technical institute as an apprentice and obtained a recognized
diploma in auto mechanic trade.
3. Eight(8) year experience in a gas plant refinery or petrochemical industry as auto
mechanic.
4. Familiar with all hazards and safety precautions of the auto mechanic trade
