Reports To: Software Development Manager
Department: Technology
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled QA professional with Product Owner experience to join our IT team. In this dual role you will work closely with developers to ensure product quality manage priorities and oversee tasks within an Agile framework. This is a remote parttime position (Sunday to Thursday 9 AM to 6 PM) with the potential to transition into a fulltime role based on performance and workload.
Key Responsibilities:
QA Responsibilities:
Test features and updates to ensure they meet technical and user requirements.
Identify document and track bugs collaborating with the development team for resolution.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Conduct functional regression exploratory and performance testing.
Automate test cases where applicable to improve efficiency and coverage.
Review requirements and specifications for testability and completeness.
Work with developers to validate fixes and resolve issues effectively.
Product Owner Responsibilities:
Define prioritize and manage the product backlog in collaboration with the IT team.
Write clear and detailed user stories including technical acceptance criteria.
Participate in sprint planning sessions and ensure developers fully understand requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical needs with business objectives.
Monitor and support implementation to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in QA or as a Product Owner preferably within IT.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies user stories and backlog management.
Basic technical knowledge (e.g. APIs databases testing tools).
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Proven ability to work closely with developers and effectively manage priorities.
