Key Responsibilities:
Material Management: Coordinate procurement storage and distribution of materials to ensure availability onsite as needed.
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records conduct regular stock checks and manage material consumption to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Procurement Support: Assist with the selection and qualification of suppliers and vendors. Track orders to ensure timely delivery in line with project schedules.
Material Planning: Work closely with project managers and engineers to forecast material needs for future project phases.
Material Tracking & Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of material requisitions purchase orders and delivery schedules. Monitor material receipt and inspection for compliance with project specifications.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that delivered materials meet required standards and regulatory requirements and manage inspection processes.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate delivery of materials to project sites and manage transportation logistics as necessary.
Cost Control: Assist in budget tracking and cost estimation to keep the project within budget.
Reporting: Prepare regular material status reports tracking deliveries shortages and project timelines.
Vendor Relations: Develop strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing quality and timely delivery.
Safety Compliance: Ensure materials are handled and stored according to HSE (Health Safety Environment) guidelines.
Requirements
5 years of experience in material coordination or supply chain management in the Oil & Gas sector.
Strong understanding of material management processes (procurement inventory control logistics and supplier management).
Familiarity with Oil & Gas materials equipment and project specifications.
Proficiency in material management software (e.g. SAP MAXIMO).
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of HSE regulations and safe material handling practices.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CIPS APICS).
Experience with onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
Experience using project management tools for tracking material deliveries.
