Workshop Manager Head of Rewinding Department (Job Rewinding)
Role Overview: The Workshop Manager will lead the Rewinding Department overseeing all
operations related to the maintenance repair and refurbishment of electrical motors and pumps.
This role requires comprehensive expertise in both mechanical and electrical domains with a
particular focus on handling low voltage (LV) medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV)
motors. The successful candidate will manage the rewinding workshop ensuring the highest
standards of efficiency quality and safety in all rewinding activities.
Educational and Professional Requirements:
- An Electrical Engineering degree or a similar qualification.
- Candidates must have more than 5 years of experience be South Africanbased and currently
- working in GCC countries within the industrial manufacturing or engineering workshop.
- Expertise in electrical and mechanical equipment is required along with the ability to relocate to
Qatar immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Motor Overhaul: Proficiency in dismantling inspecting repairing and rewinding various
types of electric motors. This includes ensuring that all motors are refurbished to meet operational
standards and safety regulations.
Pump Services and Refurbishment: Handling different types of pumps such as centrifugal
progressive cavity and positive displacement pumps. The manager is responsible for overseeing
the complete refurbishment process from assessment to testing.
Dynamic Balancing: Conducting dynamic balancing of rotating equipment to reduce
vibration and ensure smooth operation.
Transformer Refurbishment: Although not the primary focus familiarity with transformer
refurbishment adds value to this role suggesting an ability to oversee or advise on such tasks when
necessary.

Education
An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent. Candidates must have more than 7 years of experience, be South African-based, and currently working in GCC countries within the industrial, manufacturing, or engineering workshop.
