The role:

Working within our Force Sensors subdivision which is a key part of our Global Weigh Solutions business division you will manage our extensive external EMEA distributor network. You will Proactively engage with existing customers within the defined distributor market segments and your region with a view to maximizing new Sales and achieving organic Sales growth. If you have achieved success developing EMEA sensors and or instrument application distribution channels we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the distributors network across the EMEA region and expand the network in new territories.
  • Prioritize markets and determine market entry strategies for new areas within the EMEA region and for new and existing product portfolios.
  • Assign territories set sales goals and ensure revenue targets of distributors are achieved.
  • Provide information education marketing and sales promotional support to distributors to ensure continual improvement.
  • Ensure distributors are equipped with the necessary sales skills to represent VPG through coaching individuals in the field and personally observing the performance of distributors.
  • Assist distributors with client training as required.
  • Prepare and execute annual reviews of distributors.
  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare sales forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in each territory.
  • Be the Face of the company ; lead new development projects by proactive contact with the prospect or customer and VPG R & D Engineering QA and other associated parties to ensure timely and successful completion of the project.
  • Negotiate contracts meet with purchasing procurement and other key decision makers to establish firm and profitable customer relationships.

Business development responsibilities include:

  • You will discover and explore new business opportunities (NBOs) in your territory.
  • Screen the territory for leads and potential business/ prospects.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Generating leads through cold calling prospective customers.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Assessing customers needs and the company s ability to meet those needs.
  • Build longterm relationships with new customers.
  • Follow up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team.

Requirements :

What we are looking for:

  • A degree level technical qualification is preferred but above average level of numeracy literacy and IT skills are critical.
  • Fluent English speaking must! Another EU language would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in management of multichannel sales is critical. Experience of the supply or application of sensors within the weighing force measurement or associated industries is also critical.
  • Knowledge of sensors and/or instrumentation applications. Ability to learn quickly and apply that learning is critical. Ability to handle and prioritize various workloads within a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience using internal MRP systems and the full Microsoft Office suite.
