Your Career

Palo Alto Networks Information Security team is looking for a Director of Security Operations Center (SOC) to join the Global Security Operations team.  As the senior leader of the team you will lead the Tel Avivbased group of SOC analysts and engineers in support of the SOCs mission to protect the company from cyberattacks.  You will be responsible for threat detection and incident response across all our internal environments.  The scope of the Security Operations team spans both the Enterprise and Product environments.

This role requires a strategic leader with strong executive presence excellent influencing skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and periodically with Clevel customers.

In this role as a handson technical leader you will quickly become an expert in Palo Alto Networks security products; primarily XSIAM XDR and Next Generation Firewalls.  You will also facilitate the SOC teams feedback to the engineering teams to continually improve our world leading security products.

Many SOCs are drowning in false positive alerts but Palo Alto Networks SOC changed the game and reinvented how Security Operations should function.  Our vigilant focus on automation prevention and highfidelity alerts enables our analysts to be more proactive.  Our analysts do not spend their days sifting through alerts.  Instead their workloads are split evenly between (1) analyzing and responding to high fidelity alerts (2) proactive threat hunting and (3) contributing to a variety of different projects aligned to their personal interests.  As the Director of Security Operations Center (SOC) you will promote and practice this philosophy.

Your Impact

• Leadership and Strategy
  • Develop and execute comprehensive security operations strategies that align with the companys goals and risk tolerance
  • Lead and expand the SOC team fostering a culture of continuous learning improvement and high performance
  • Serve as a key leader of the Information Security team providing updates and strategic advice on security matters
• Operational Management
  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the Tel Aviv SOC ensuring efficient threat detection and incident response
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as IT People Team and Legal departments to as required to deliver and continually improve operations capabilities
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with leaders across the business
  • Meet with visiting Clevel customers and share our insights on running a highperforming SOC on Palo Alto Networks technology 
  • Influence and secure buyin from internal and external stakeholders for security initiatives and budgets
• Team Development and Mentoring
  • Lead mentor and develop a highperforming security operations team ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources
  • Maintain an environment of learning and development to stay ahead of the latest in emerging threats
  • Manage SOC team staffing including recruitment supervision development and evaluations
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team and across the company

Qualifications :

Your Experience

• Proven leadership experience in a SOC or related information security role
• Strong executive presence with exceptional abilities in influencing negotiating and communicating effectively
• Demonstrated ability to articulate complex topics with Clevel executives and external partners
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks incident response protocols and risk management
• Ability to lead crossfunctional teams and projects
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM or similar preferred

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field or equivalent military experience required
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a cybersecurity role with at least 5 years in a leadership position
