Time Out Saudi is looking for an ambitious Arabicspeaking and writing Deputy Editor to produce entertaining engaging content across Time Out Saudi s digital and print products. You should have your finger on the pulse of the Kingdom s lifestyle scene a nose for new and emerging trends and a passion for turning your hand to all manner of copy from inspiring listicles to indepth features and interviews with fascinating subjects. This role works on Time Out s Arabiclanguage products and platforms but alongside and in daily communication with Time Out s Englishlanguage products.
Requirements
- Plan pitch and write a wide range of content for Time Out Saudi s Arabiclanguage products ranging from listicles directories and roundups to news stories
- Meet daily quotas for content across print and digital and support the editor in the overall production of Time Out s Arabiclanguage products across all platforms.
- Make sure content is executed in line with Time Out s SEO and social strategies.
- Identify stories that can be adapted to or enhanced by video and work with Time Out s video and social media team to build a complete content package.
- Work to ensure Time Out is the first to break news of happenings within the brand s remit quickly identifying subjects topics and events that will make compelling content pieces and making sure they re executed in line with our overall brand strategy.
- Work with the editor to ensure ALL content reflects Time Out s overall editorial strategy and meets brand guidelines.
- Work with a small but talented editorial to populate an editorial calendar. Keep it current identifying commercial and audience opportunities within it and communicating them to other teams.
- Have your finger on the pulse of the local scene; use your professional contacts and socialmedia networks to be the first to identify the next big thing.
- Embrace Time Out s digitalfirst philosophy. A strong background in digital publishing is absolutely essential.
