Job Overview: As a Junior Business Analyst you will work closely with business stakeholders and development teams to gather requirements analyze business processes and deliver solutions that drive efficiency and value. You will leverage your technical expertise to understand the feasibility of software solutions assist in system design and ensure that the software aligns with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather analyze and document business requirements and technical specifications.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable user stories and functional requirements.
- Assist in the design and implementation of software solutions by providing technical input ensuring that solutions are aligned with business goals.
- Conduct data analysis and contribute to the creation of reports dashboards and visualizations for business users.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of business and system process models.
- Assist in the identification and documentation of system requirements ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend process enhancements.
- Work closely with software engineers QA teams and other technical stakeholders to ensure that solutions are implemented efficiently and meet business needs.
- Test and validate solutions to ensure they meet functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Assist in training business users on new systems and tools.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology Business Information Systems or a related field.
- Basic understanding of business analysis principles methodologies and techniques.
- Strong technical foundation in software development computer engineering or IT.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience with requirements gathering process mapping and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of database systems and querying (e.g. SQL).
- Analytical thinking with attention to detail and a problemsolving mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills (optional but a plus):
- Experience with business analysis tools like Jira Confluence or similar.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python Java C).
- Understanding of cloud computing APIs and system integrations.
- Exposure to data analysis tools like Excel Tableau Power BI or similar.
