Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented PMC HR Coordinator (Construction) to support the human resources operations for a highprofile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra Iraq. The HR Coordinator will handle recruitment employee relations administrative tasks and compliance with local labor laws ensuring smooth HR processes and contributing to the success of the project. This role requires strong organizational skills cultural awareness and experience in HR functions within largescale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities including scheduling interviews preparing job descriptions and managing candidate records.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires ensuring proper documentation induction and orientation.
- Maintain and update employee records contracts and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and local labor laws.
- Address employee relations issues providing guidance and support to resolve grievances and conflicts.
- Manage and monitor employee attendance leave and timesheets ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee salaries and benefits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies procedures and initiatives tailored to the projects needs.
- Organize and coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Act as a liaison between the HR department and project teams to address HRrelated queries and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws safety regulations and projectspecific requirements in all HR operations.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience:
- 57 years of experience in HR roles with a focus on construction or largescale infrastructure projects.
- Experience working in Iraq or similar regions with an understanding of local labor laws and cultural dynamics is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR principles policies and best practices.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for employee and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills to address HRrelated challenges effectively.
