Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced PMC QA/QC Lead to oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities for a highprofile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra Iraq. The QA/QC Lead will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the projects quality management system ensuring compliance with international standards project specifications and client requirements. This role requires technical expertise leadership skills and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and manage the projects Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with project requirements and international standards.
- Oversee and manage QA/QC activities including inspections audits and testing across all project phases.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications codes standards and client expectations.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor QA/QC performance ensuring adherence to approved procedures and quality plans.
- Review and approve quality documentation including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) method statements and quality manuals.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities ensuring proper implementation of QA/QC processes.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits addressing nonconformities and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of quality performance test results and inspection reports.
- Provide training and guidance to project staff and contractors on QA/QC standards and best practices.
- Report quality performance metrics risks and recommendations to project management and stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1215 years of experience in QA/QC roles with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Proven experience in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
- Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent quality certifications are required.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles processes and international standards (e.g. ISO ASME API).
- Proficiency in quality management tools and documentation systems.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities for effective team and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain quality standards in a fastpaced environment.
