What Youll Do
- Design develop and maintain realtime data pipelines using tools like Kafka Debezium and Confluent to synchronize MySQL and PostgreSQL data to our warehouse.
- Manage batch and streaming data ingestion workflows using Airbyte custom Python scripts and other tools.
- Build and optimize scalable data models in data warehouses using dbt ensuring theyre ready for analysis and tailored to business needs.
- Analyze feature performance adoption rates and engagement metrics by querying data warehouses or using tools like Mixpanel to provide actionable insights.
- Write efficient SQL queries for ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
- Build and maintain dashboards in Metabase for key metrics and insights.
- Enable data activation workflows with tools like Hightouch sending alerts and integrating data with Slack and Notion.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to deliver scalable reliable solutions that drive decisionmaking.
What Were Looking For
- Strong experience with Kafka Debezium and Confluent for building realtime data pipelines.
- Handson expertise with tools like Airbyte RabbitMQ and Python for data ingestion and transformation.
- Advanced SQL skills capable of querying large datasets and deriving actionable insights.
- Experience with data warehouses (e.g. ClickHouse Snowflake BigQuery Redshift) and dbt for robust data modeling.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Metabase for dashboard creation.
- Experience with event tracking and analytics platforms such as Mixpanel or Amplitude.
- Experience with Hightouch or similar tools for reverse ETL workflows.
- Basic understanding of Airflow or similar tools for task scheduling.
- Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on ensuring data quality and pipeline reliability.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
- Familiarity with Azure and Pulumi is a plus.
