Role Purpose


Responsible for analyzing market trends user data and business performance to drive strategic decisions related to OverTheTop (OTT) platforms and streaming services.

Role Profile


The OTT Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing market trends user data and business performance to drive strategic decisions related to OverTheTop (OTT) platforms and streaming services. This role involves gathering and interpreting data identifying opportunities for growth and providing actionable insights to optimize the OTT business.

Role Accountabilities

  • Execute test cases to validate the functionality of OTT applications including user interfaces video playback content management and user authentication.

  • Collect and analyze user data viewer behavior and market trends to gain insights into user preferences and content consumption patterns.

  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to track and report on OTT platform performance.

  • Conduct market research to assess competitive landscape and industry trends in the OTT space.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies platforms and services to identify potential opportunities for innovation and growth.

  • Collaborate with content acquisition teams to analyze the performance of existing content libraries.

  • Provide datadriven recommendations for content acquisition licensing and content development strategies.

  • Analyze user feedback and behavior to improve the user experience on OTT platforms.

  • Work with UX/UI teams to recommend and implement improvements in platform design and navigation.

  • Monitor and analyze revenue streams including subscriptions advertising and partnerships.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize revenue generation and pricing strategies.

  • Assist in the development of business plans financial models and forecasts for the OTT business.

  • Provide input on budgeting cost analysis and resource allocation.

  • Communicate findings and insights to crossfunctional teams executives and stakeholders.


Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business Data Science or a related field.

  • Proven experience in data analysis business analysis or market research preferably in the OTT or digital media industry.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel SQL data visualization tools).

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with OTT technologies and digital content distribution is a plus.
